1. What is the status of GMA Kapuso Foundation?
The GMA Kapuso Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit organization that seeks to provide assistance to our less fortunate brothers and sisteranywhere in the country.
2. How does the Foundation generate funds?
The Kapuso Foundation is able to generate funds from the donations and various types of assistance that is generously extended to us by private and public individuals and groups who continue trust us in delivering services to our least fortunate brethren, a true testimony that the Kapuso Foundation stays true to its commitment in delivering Serbisyong Totoo.
3. What kind of donation can I give to the Foundation?
Any kind of donation given to the foundation is welcome. (Have a loop for the specific donations.. refer to the "How to be a volunteer" file)

4. Is it possible to specify my donation to a specific person (SOA) or to a specific project?
Yes. Donations given to the foundation may be specified to an exact program or a specific Subject of Appeal (SOA) patient of the foundation.
5. What kind of assistance does the foundation offer in its Bisig Bayan program?
Bisig Bayan is one of the flagship programs of the Kapuso Foundation. This program offers regular medical assistance to walk-in indigent patients referred by the Social Service desks of various government hospitals to us. We are able to extend help by providing the patients with the prescribed medicines, and in some cases, by providing wheelchairs and other medical equipment, as well as medical examinations and tests.
6. What are the requirements to avail of the medicines?
Medical assistance from the Bisig Bayan can be availed by means of appointment via telephone which is done every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12nn.
The following documents must be brought during the appointed schedule in order to avail the requested medical assistance:
a. Medical Certificate from a Government Hospital (with contact number)
b. Medical Social Service Referral
c. Prescription (within two weeks of issuance)
*Both Medical Certificate and MSS Referral should be within one month of issue only.
The three requirements should be available upon appointment for Bisig Bayan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the GMAKF Office from 9am-12pm.
7. What are SOA patients?
Subject of Appeal (SOA) patients are indigent patients that need more than just medicines from the Foundation and often featured in the Kapusong Totoo segment in 24 Oras to seek for
8. Can the Foundation also assist me in terms of financial assistance for my medical bills in the Bisig Bayan program?
No. The Foundation only provides medicines, tests and several medical equipments to indigent patients. It is part of our mandate not to give any form of monetary assistance to our beneficiaries.
9. How does the Foundation select SOA patients?
Subject of Appeal (SOA) patients are chosen either from letter senders or from the indigent patients who come by the station to partake in the Bisig Bayan Program.
10. How can I be a Kapuso volunteer?
To be a Kapuso volunteer, all you have to do is go to the Kapuso Foundation office and fill up the volunteer sheet or you could download the file in PDF format and send it to us. (Loop to the "How to be a volunteer" file)
